Display Amount Net of Tax (Foreign Currency) on Transaction Searches

Scenario:

Currently, there is no standard field to show Amount Net of Tax (Foreign Currency) on Transaction Searches.Enhancement 207815has been filed to keep track of the process of making this functionality a part of standard NetSuite Features.

This article will tackle how to expose the Foreign Currency Amount of Foreign Currency Denominated Transactions (Net of Tax) entered in NetSuite in a Transaction Saved Search. Also, this serves as an alternate solution for the aforementioned Enhancement.

Solution:


1. Navigate toList>Search>Saved Searches>New
2. ClickTransaction
3.Search Title:Enter theNameof the Saved Search
  • Example:Bills - US Dollar and Foreign Currency Amounts
4. ClickCriteria
5. Go toStandard>Filter
Always clickAddafter Selecting the Filter
  • SelectType
    • Type =Any Of
    • SelectBill
    • ClickSet
  • Select Posting
    • ClickYes
    • ClickSet
Note: You can include or exclude other Filters as necessary
6. ClickResults
7. Go toColumns>Field
Always ClickAddafter selecting the Field:
  • SelectDate
  • SelectDocument Number
  • SelectName
  • SelectAccount
  • SelectAmount
  • SelectFormula (Currency)
    • Formula:{netamountnotax}/{exchangerate}
    • Custom Label:Amount - Foreign Currency (Net of Tax)
Note: You can include or exclude other Fields as necessary. However, make sure that the Foreign (Currency) field is always included in the Saved Search.
