Scenario

User has marked several Customer records as Inactive. When creating Saved Searches and Reports, the user wants all these Inactive Customers and their related records automatically excluded from the Results.

Solution

This can only be achieved by explicitly adding theInactive = Falsecriterion on the Report or Saved Search. However, these inactive records do not show up when viewing the List page (e.g.Lists > Relationships > Customers) unless theShow Inactivesfilter is enabled.

  1. Go toLists > Relationships > Customers

  2. Show Inactives:EnterCheckmark

Similarly, inactive records do not show up on Quick Searches or Global Searches unless the user manually enables the preference to include them.

  1. Go toHome > Set Preferences

  2. ClickAnalytics

  3. Include Inactives in Global & Quick Search:EnterCheckmark

  4. ClickSave
