Journal Entries not Available in the Customer Profitability Report

Scenario
The user creates a Customer Profitability Report by going to Reports > Customers/Receivables > Customer Profitability. However, journal entries are not available on the report.
Solution
A. Check if Journal is excluded from Sales Reports:
- Navigate to Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences
- Click Items/Transactions tab
- Scroll down to Sales & Pricing section
- In Transaction Types to Exclude from Sales Reports, check if Journal is selected
- Click on Journal to deselect
- Note: Hold CTRL to avoid deselecting other transaction types
- Click Save button
B. Check the filters on the report.
If there is an Item and/or Item Type set as a filter, this will filter out journal entries from displaying since items cannot be associated to any journal entries.
