Scenario

When creating a new Email Template Category using an Administrator role, the user can set the record to Public under the Restrict Access subtab.

However, when using a Custom Role with a full Template Category permission, the Restrict Access subtab where the Public checkbox is located is missing.

Solution

  1. Log in as an Administrator
  2. Go to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles
  3. Custom Role: Click Edit
  4. Go to Permissions > Lists
  5. Permission:
    • Select Public Template Categories
  6. Access Level:
    • Select Full
  7. Click Save
    Note:
Log out and log in using the role once this change has been completed. The Restrict Access subtab when creating a new Template Category should now be visible.
