Saved Search and Report for Number of Resources Set for a Project

SCENARIO
- Need to create a saved search and report to display the number of resources assigned to each project.
SOLUTION
1. Create the Report:
- Navigate to Reports > New Report.
- Select Project Backlog Time.
- Report Title: Enter a descriptive title (e.g., "Project Resource Count").
- Select the field you want to report on section:
- Metric: Select Resources.
- Select the format of the report section:
- Choose Summary.
- Select how you want to subtotal the report:
- Component: Select Customer/Project.
- Field: Select Name.
- Click Run Report.
- Click Customize.
- Edit Columns:
- Remove any unnecessary columns (e.g., Backlog).
- Add Fields:
- Expand Project Backlog Time and select Projects.
- Click Save or Preview.
2. Create the Saved Search:
- Navigate to Transactions > Management > Saved Searches > New.
- Select Project.
- Search Title: Enter a descriptive title (e.g., "Project Resource List").
- Click Results.
- Click Columns.
- Click Remove All.
- Add the following fields:
- Field:Name | Summary Type:Group
- Field:Project Resource Fields: Name/ID | Summary Type:Count
- Click Save.
