Scenario

The user wanted to create a report that will show the total quantity of items used as Components and/or on Sales.

Solution

1. Go toReports>New Search
2. SelectTransactions
3. Add aSearch Title
4. Under Criteria add:
   Type is AssemblyBuild, ItemFulfillment
   Account is (the account that you use as the asset account of your items, go to an item record > accounting tab > asset account field)
5. Under Results add:
   Item | Summary Type: Group
   DocumentNumber | Blank Summary Type
   Quantity | Summary Type: Sum | Function: Absolute Value
   
6. Click on Save&Run

Note: Add Item as a filter to easily filter out the item on the report, or add a Date filter to set a parameter for the usafe.
