Scenario
User noticed that the Display Type of the Custom Transaction Line Field coming from a Managed Bundle was changed from Normal to Hidden.
Under History tab > System Notes, it suggests that one of the Administrators performed the changes. However, the Administrator never performed this change in the UI himself/herself.
Solution
As the custom field came from the bundle, user may need to check if there was a bundle update.
- Global Search: Enter Bundle ID
- View Bundle Record
- Navigate to Audit Trail
Note: Compare the Date and Time Stamp on when the update occurred and when the Display Type changed. Both Administrator matched hence the cause of the change was due to the managed bundle update.
For managed bundle, changes on the components are being managed/controlled by the author. User shown in the bundle audit trail as executing a managed bundle update in your account is an arbitrary designation.
The managed bundle update process selects a user in the employee list to be the entry in the Installed By column of the audit trail. This selection is the administrator that has the lowest internal ID.
