Component Items will still show on the Picking Ticket if one of the components is also a Kit/Package Item and the Display Components on Transactions checkbox is marked on the Item Record of component.
Kit Item 1 is set as Display Components on Transactions = False
Its components are: Kit Item 2 (Display Components on Transactions = True) and
Inventory Item A
- This is applicable only on printed sales and purchase forms.
- On the printed forms of Sales Order/Purchase Order, the components that will show up are the member items of the component Kit item that has the preference Display Components on Transactions marked as True. On the example above, the printed forms would show Kit Item 1 and the components of Kit Item 2 only.
Note: There is a separate Accounting Preference for showing Kit Items in Printed Picking Tickets. This can be found by navigating to Setup > Accounting > Preferences > Accounting Preferences under Order Management subtab look for Always Print Kit Items on Picking Tickets preference.
- If preference is enabled, all components of the Kit/Package Item will be displayed on the Picking Ticket. From the example above, all components of Kit Item 1 and Kit Item 2 will be shown.
- If preference is disabled, only the Kit/Package Item will be displayed on the Picking Ticket and none of its components are shown. Based on example, only Kit Item 1 is listed.
