Scenario
User tries to import Bank Statement using a CSV file and receives an error message: "Error: The file uploaded failed. Please try again. If you have repeatedly received this error message, please send email to NetSuite Technical Support."
The cause of this problem might be the date column which is formatted as DD/MM/YYYY while NetSuite requires MM/DD/YYYY.
Solution
- Open the CSV import file in MS Excel
- Make sure that all dates use date format MM/DD/YYYY
- Click Save
- Navigate to Transactions > Bank > Banking Import History > Upload File
- Click Choose a file
- Import Options: Click Import with a default parser (CSV, OFX, QFX, BAI2, or CAMT.053) option
- Select Account
- Click Import
