Scenario
User wants to create a saved search to show show the Date of First and Last Sale for each Item per customer for a specific time period.
Solution
- Navigate to Reports > Saved Searches > All Saved Searches > New
- Search Type: Select Transactions
- Title: Enter Name
- Click Criteria
- Click Standard
Note: For every required field use the drop-down menu to select it and once adjusted click Add if needed.- Select Type
- Type: Multiple Select Invoice, and Cash Sale
- Select Main Line
- Main Line: Select No
- Select Shipping Line
- Shipping Line: Select No
- Select Tax Line
- Tax Line: Select No
- Select Account Type

Account Type: Select None of None
Note: This is to remove the Subtotal, Billable Line Totals, and End of Group lines, etc. on the search results

- Select Item Fields...
- Select Type
- Select none of

Note: Add this filter if you do not want to include Discount items on the search results.
- Select Type
- Select Date
- Date: Enter Date Range
- Click Results
- Click Remove All
Note: For every required field use the drop-down menu to select it and once adjusted click Add if needed.- Select Name
- Summary Type: Select Group
- Select Item
- Summary Type: Select Group
- Select Date
- Summary Type: Select Minimum
- Custom Label: Enter Date of First Sale
- Select Date
- Summary Type: Select Maximum
- Custom Label: Enter Date of Last Sale
- Select Name
- Click Available Filters

- Select Date
- Show in Footer: Enter Checkmark
- Click Save
Note: If the date range is not necessary or you just want to see the Date of the First or Last sale per item since you started selling it then just remove the filter for Date.
