Acquisition Cost of Disposed Asset Shows on Fixed Asset Register Report

Scenario

The main reason for this behavior is that on the Depreciation History of the Asset no Acquisition record was created.

Solution

1. First, delete all Depreciation History of the Asset

a. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Lists > Assets

b. Click Edit on the Asset Record

c. Click General subtab

    Depreciation Active: False
    Click Save

d. Run Asset Reset Values

e. Fixed Assets > Setup > System Setup
f. Click Asset Reset Values

2. Then create new Depreciation History for the Asset

a. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Lists > Assets

b. Click Edit on the Asset Record

c. Click General subtab

   Depreciation Active: True
   Click Save

d. Run Precompute Depreciation Values

e. Fixed Assets > Setup > System Setup
f. Click Precompute Depreciation Values
