Scenario
User needs to pull up the email address of the Company's contact when sending Bulk Merge/Marketing Campaigns to a group of contacts.
Solution
Create a custom field on the Contact form to source the value from the related Company record. Here are the steps on how to create the custom field:
- Navigate to a Contact record > Edit > Customize link > New Field
- Enter a Label, e.g. Company Email Address
- Type is Email Address
- Verify the checkbox Store Value is unchecked
- Under Applies To tab, the Contact box should be checked
- Under Display tab > Subtab field: Main
- Under the Sourcing & Filtering tab > set Source List is Company, and Source From is E-mail
- Click Save & Apply to Forms
- Select forms and click Save
Contacts with a value in the field Company have the Company Email Address displayed in the Contact Record, and this value is available in the Scriptable Templates
