Display Unit of Measure beside Custom Field

Scenario

User would like to know how to add Unit of Measure (UOM) beside their custom field.

Solution

1. Create Custom Item Field
   1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Item Fields > New
   2. Label: Enter Label (e.g Height)
   3. ID: Enter _item_height
   4. Type: Select Free-Form Text
   5. Store Value: Enter Checkmark
   6. Click Applies To
   7. Inventory Item: Enter Checkmark
   8. Click Display
   9. Subtab: Select Purchasing / Inventory
   10. Display Type: Select Inline Text
   11. Click Sourcing & Filtering
   12. Source List: Select Unit Type
   13. Source From: Select Type Name
   14. Click Save
       Note: User will have to customize the custom form to place it beside the custom item field.
2. Customize the custom form
   1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Entry Forms
   2. Custom Form in Use: Click Edit
   3. Click Fields
   4. Click Purchasing / Inventory
      Note: Ensure that it is listed after Planning Safety Stock field.
   5. Locate the Custom Field created
   6. Label: Delete the Label (e.g. Height, leave it as blank)
   7. Same Row As Previous: Enter Checkmark
   8. Click Save
