What are Ordinary Time Earnings (OTE)?
OTE stands for Ordinary Time Earnings and identifies to the payroll process that superannuation is applicable to the pay component. When setting up an employee’s pay details, the Normal Time pay component must have the OTE box ticked and set to 1.0. This is because the Normal Time component is used as the basic pay component for employees, for which superannuation will be applicable.
Important: This should not be changed against the pay component, or as part of the pay run process.
