Scenario
Customer wanted to clear the beginning balance of No Customer/Job in A/R Aging Report through Transactions > Financial > Make Journal Entries.
Solution
- Create Dummy Customer record
- Navigate to Lists > Relationships > Customers > New
- Name: Enter Dummy Customer
- Save
- Transfer the balance of No Customer/Job to Dummy Customer
- Navigate to Reports > Customer/Receivables > AR Aging
- Click the total of No Customer/Job
- On Open Balance column, click the amount to see the Account Receivable that used for the journal
- Navigate to Transactions > Financial > Make Journal Entries

Note: If you go back to Reports > Customer/Receivables > A/R Aging> Click Refresh, you will notice that No Customer/Job will not appear in the AR aging report and Dummy Customer is added in A/R Aging report.

Clear the Balance of No Customer/Job

Navigate to Transactions > Customers > Accept Customer Payments
- Customer: Enter Dummy Customer
- A/R Account: Select A/R account used in creating journal entry
- Go to Apply tab > Tick the box
- Save

Navigate to Transactions > Customers > Accept Customer Payments
Note: If you go back to Reports > Customers/ Receivables > A/R Aging> Click Refresh, you will notice that No Customer/Job and Dummy Customer are not appearing in A/R Aging Report.
