Quantity Available on Purchasing/Inventory tab is Less than Inventory Detail tab – JCurve Solutions

Scenario:

When the quantity available on Purchasing/Inventory tab is less then the quantity available on the Inventory Detail tab.

Solution:

The user may create a Transaction Saved Search to see a list of Item Fulfillments with Picked/Packed status containing the item with the following steps:

Go to Reports > Saved Search > All Saved Searches > New
Click Transaction
Search Title:Enter Title
Example: Picked/Packed Item Fulfillment of Item 'A'
Fields:

Select Type
- Description: is any of Item Fulfillment
Select Status
- Description: is any of Item Fulfillment: Picked, Item Fulfillment: Packed
Select Item
- Description: starts with [Enter Item name]

Click Results
Click Columns
Filter:
Note: For every required filter, use the drop-down menu to select it and once adjusted click Add if needed

Select Date
Select Document Number

Click Save & Run

Once on the results page user may do the following steps:

Click on View on each Item Fulfillment
Click on the Sales Order link on the Created From field
Check for any Sales Order status that is Closed, if none check the Closed column on the line item level if checked for the item of concern

Note:

Quantity available on the Purchasing/Inventory tab is quantity on hand less the committed quantity to Sales Orders, while quantity available on the Inventory Detail tab is quantity on hand less quantities included in Item Fulfillments in Picked or Packed status.
