Bank Start Balance
The Bank Start Balance field is the closing balance from the previous bank rec. It must be manually entered for the very first statement and any statements done out of order (ie not following on from the previous day’s banking).
Closing Bank Balance
Bank End Balance
The Bank End Balance field is a calculation of the Bank Start Balance plus the sum of the transactions. Therefore, if the Start Balance is incorrect the Bank End Balance will also be incorrect. To update this field, edit and save the bank statement.
Enter Statement End Balance
When a statement is first loaded the user must copy the Bank End Balance into this field which sets the Difference to zero. This field is especially important when inserting or removing statement lines to check that the Difference is still zero which confirms the value of lines removed or inserted is correct.
If the Bank End Balance changes this field must be manually updated.
Bank Statement Balance not Equal to Netsuite Account Balance
This will occur where there are transactions in JCurve / Netsuite that aren’t on the bank statement or if there are unprocessed statement lines.
To see transactions in JCurve not yet matched run the Unmatched Bank Transactions search.
To see unprocessed bank statement transactions lines Go To Lines to Process.
