Scenario: You will be sharing a Sales Order template to your Customers for them to list their orders. Customers will give the template back to you to do CSV Import with list of Items, Quantity and other preferred information.
Result: Decrease time, effort and avoid doing manual encoding of SO.
Suggested Process:
1. Provide the Sales Order template to your Customers and the list of Item, especially the Item Codes.
2. Once your customers send it back. Then, check the template before Importing.
3. To Import, go to Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records

- Import type = Transactions
- Record type = Sales Order
- Select the File/s you want to Import. Then hit Next
- Select Add, then Next
- Then, before clicking Next. You may check fields from your Template (Left) vs NetSuite fields (Right). You have an option to Add or Remove fields during Field Mapping.
- Enter Import Map Name, then click Save & Run. So that next time you will be doing this you will just need to go to Setup > Import/Export > Saved CSV Imports
Check for the "Job Status" to know the result of your CSV Import.
Additional Note:
- Customer and Item Subsidiary should be aligned. Meaning, we cannot Import a Sales Order if the Subsidiary of Customer and Item are different.
- External ID should be the same for all lines (rows)
- Line ID is representing the Item per lines of SO, should be unique every lines of every External ID.
- Date has format of DD/MM/YYYY
- For non-JCurve Client. Please contact JCurve if you are interested for the Customer Portal wherein Customers can be able to enter their own Order and that will automatically converted to a Sales Order then they can also monitor the Status of their order, etc. For JCurve Client, you may ask your Account Manager if you are interested for the Customer Portal.
