Problem/Business Requirement/Unique Question:
There are transactions in the Bank Register that are not showing in the Bank Reconciliation Page.
Symptoms/Details of Business Requirements/Any Additional Information:
Transactions > Bank > Reconcile Bank Statement > There are transactions in the Bank Register that are not showing in the Bank Reconciliation page.
Common reasons:
- The transaction was already reconciled.
- Reconciliation for the transaction was put on “Hold”.
- Date of the Transaction is prior to the Start Date.
Solution/Workaround/Recommendation Details:
1. Verify if the transaction is reconciled:
- Go to the register: Navigate to Lists > Accounting > Accounts> Click on the Bank Register
- Locate the Transaction.
- Check if there is a checkmark in the Clr column and a date in the Reconciled Date column.
(If Clr column has a check mark and the Reconciled Date column has a date this means that this transaction is already reconciled. The Date on the Reconciled Date column is the Statement Date used in the reconciliation.)
- If the transaction is already reconciled that’s why it is not showing in the Bank Reconciliation page.
- To un-reconcile the transaction, do the following in the check register page (Do not forget to inform the customer of the implication):
- Remove the check mark on the Clr column
- Click the Refresh button
2. Verify if the transaction is associated with a held Bank Reconciliation:
- Go to the Register: Navigate to Lists > Accounting > Accounts > Click on the Bank Register.
- Locate the Transaction
- If there is a date in the Reconciled Date column but there is no check mark on the Clr column.
(If the Clr column does not have check mark but the Reconciled Date column has a date, this means that the Reconciliation for this transaction was put on hold. The date on the Reconciled Date column is the Statement Date used when the reconciliation was held)
- To remove this transaction from the Held Bank Reconciliation; do the following in the check register page:
- Click the date in the Reconciled Date column.
- Click the Refresh button.
- Unmark all checked transactions.
- Click the Save button.
3. Verify if the Date of the Transaction is prior to the Start Date:
- Check the Date of the transaction and Start Date used in the Bank Reconciliation page.
- If you would like to see unreconciled transaction, you can enter an earlier date on the Start Date field.
- If you would like to see all unreconciled transaction, you can remove the Date on the Start Date field.
