Scenario
User would like to easily search a Serial Number to know who is the Customer purchased it.
Create a Transaction Saved search by going to Reports > New Search
1. Click Transaction link
2. Click Create Saved search
3. Put your Search title
4. Optional to Tick Public and Available as List View
5. On the Criteria tab, Add the following:
- Type = Item Fulfillment, option to add Sales Order
- Item Fields > is Serialized Item = Yes/True
- Main Line = No/False
- Shipping Line = No/False
- Transaction Serial/Lot Number = is not Empty
- Tax Line = No/False
6. On the Results tab, Add the following:
- Internal ID, Summary type = Group
- Date, Summary type = Group
- Created From, Summary type = Group
- Document Number, Summary type = Group
- Name, Summary type = Group
- Item, Summary Type = Group
- Serial/Lot Numbers, Summary type = Group
7. On the Available Filters tab, add the following:
- Date, Show in Filter Region = Yes
- Customer (Main Line) fields > Name/ID, Show in Filter Region = Yes
- Item Number field, Show in Filter Region = Yes
8. You can try searching for the Serial No and also customer name.
