Balance Sheet Report Not Available Within the Financial Reports for Custom Role

Scenario

Using a custom role the link for the Balance Sheet report is missing when navigating to Reports > Financial. In order for a custom role to have access to the Balance Sheet report within the financial category, permission must be added to the role.

Solution

1. Log in as Administrator
2. Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles
3. Click Edit for the Customized role
4. Click Permissions
5. Click Reports
   
6. Permission:
   
1. Select Financial Statements
2. Level: Select View
3. Click Add
   
7. Click Save
   Note: The missing permission is mentioned when the following URL is accessed by the custom role: https://system.netsuite.com/app/reporting/reportrunner.nl?cr=-202
   Permission Violation: You need the 'Reporting -> Financial Statements' permission to access this page. Please contact your account administrator. Select a different role from the list below.
