CSV Import to Create New Item Bins

Scenario

User needs to create Bins by bulk.

Solution 

IMPORTANT: Changes made by CSV Import are irreversible. When performing CSV Import, we highly suggest to import/update one or few records first as a test to ensure that the expected outcome will happen and will not cause issues to numerous records.

 
The following fields are required on the CSV file:

• External Id
• Bin Number
• Location

 
You can follow the steps below on how to Import Bins

1. Create a CSV File with the columns as advised
2. Navigate to Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records
3. Import Type: Select Supply Chain
4. Record Type: Select Bin
5. Select the CSV file
6. Click Next
7. Data Handling: Select ADD
8. Click Next
9. On the Field Mapping page, set the following:
   • Bin Number <=> Bin : Bin Number
   • Location <=> Bin : Location
   • External ID <=> External ID
10. Click Next
11. Optionally, add an Import Map Name
12. Click Save & Run
