Scenario
Customer is unable to see Save button on Custom Record's Customize View page when User's Role is Customized
Solution
For Custom Record Types that has an Access Type of Require Custom Record Entries Permission, follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles
2. Click Edit for the Custom Role
3. Under Permissions subtab, click the Lists sublist
4. Add the following Permissions:
- Permission: Custom Record Entries
- Level: Edit
- Permission: Publish Search
- Level: Edit
5. Click Save
For Custom Record Types that has an Access Type of Use Permission List, follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types
2. Click the Custom Record
3. Verify that Use Permission List is selected for the Access Type field
4. Under Permissions subtab, verify that the Access Level for the Custom Role is Edit or Full
5. Click Save
6. Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles
7. Click Edit for the Custom Role
8. Under Permissions subtab, click the Lists sublist
9. Add the following Permissions:
- Permission: Publish Search
- Level: Edit
