Purchase Price Field Missing from Assembly or Group Item Form

Scenario

User is unable to see the Purchase Price and Last Purchase Price fields of an Assembly/Bill of Materials record. Issue is reproduced even after switching to Standard Group Item Form. 

Solution

It is most likely that the preference for Allow Purchase of Assembly Items is not yet enabled that's why the Purchase Price and Last Purchase Price fields are missing. User needs to enable this preference first.

1. Go to Setup > Manufacturing > Manufacturing Preferences
2. Scroll down to Procurement section
3. Mark the checkbox for Allow Purchase of Assembly Items
4. Click Save

Note: From the older NetSuite versions, the above preference was located via Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences > Order Management
