Resolved: Kit/Package with Out of Stock component still shows the Item as In Stock results to Backorders

Scenario

There are instances that creating a Kit/Package on SuiteCommerce/SuiteCommerce Advanced sites that consists of several components that one of it is Out of Stock, still shows that the Kit/Package is available (In Stock) causing to have backorders.

Solution

These changes will allow the Kit/Package item to be Out of Stock once a component is Out of Stock:

1. Navigate to Lists > Accounting > Items

2. Look for the for the affected Kit/Package and click View (to be uniform, kindly use Standard Inventory Part Form)

3. Click Web Store tab > Under Stock and Pricing Behavior section > Set Out of Stock Behavior = Disallow back order but display out-of-stock message

4. Click Save
