Who will have access to run this saved search?
Account Administrators, users with Core Administration Permissions role and users with custom roles that have the Undelivered Emails permission will be able to run this search. This feature will help them analyze email deliverability problems.
Is there a specific permission required for non-administrator who wants to have access to the search?
Aside from the Administrator and users with Core Administration Permissions role, custom roles with the Undelivered Emails permission can run this search.
What search fields are available in the Undelivered Emails Saved Search?
Fields in each log record will include the following: Sent Date, Log Date, From, Recipients, Subject, Message-ID and Reason.
What will the search result provide?
The search results will provide information logged for undelivered email messages.
How will this help the administrator with their email deliverability issues?
This feature will help account administrators analyze email deliverability problems.
Will the Recipients field be able to display all email addresses with undelivered emails?
Yes. The recipients field will be able to list all email address (in a comma-separated list) to whom a specific email message was not delivered.
What are the list of reasons why an email is not sent?
We currently have no customer facing list of reasons why an email is blocked.
What are the possible reasons why an email is not be delivered?
The Reason, or root cause, of a specific error might indicate that:
- The sending rate is not accurate or is too high (similar email messages being sent too rapidly)
- There are problems due to specific SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) error states
- A message that was blocked because the recipient address was already present on the Bounced Email Addresses list
- There are DMARC compliance problems (SPF or DKIM settings)
