Transaction Body Field > Show Created By Field on the Record

The steps below shows how to create a Custom Field that will display the Creator of the Record.

1. Create a Saved Search that will be sourced by the Custom Field

1. As an Administrator, navigate to Reports > Saved Searches > All Saved Searches > New

2. Select Transaction

3. Label the Search Title : Created By Search

4. Add a unique ID

5. On the Results Tab, select the Created By Field and select the Summary Type : Maximum

6. On the Available Filters, select the Filter : Internal ID

7. Click Save

2. Create a Custom Field

1. As an Administrator, navigate to Customization > Lists, Records & Fields > Transaction Body Fields > New
2. Label the custom field : Created By
3. Uncheck the Store Value Field
4. On the Applies To subtab, check the transactions that you would like to apply it to
5. On the Display subtab, select the Subtab you wish it to appear to
6. On the Validation & Default subtab, choose the Saved Search Created By Search on the Search drop down
7. Click Save
