Scenario

User has two duplicate customer records and the duplicate needing to be merged into the primary record holds important notes. Prior merging, user wish to know if User Notes will be missing or retained when the merge is completed.

Solution

If the source record (duplicate) contains Notes found under Communication > User Notes tab, all Notes will be merged to the target record (primary).

Prior merging, users may also consider creating two test Customer Records with the following scenario:

1. Source Record (create new user note)
2. Target Record (leave the record with no user note)
3. Merge Source to Target Record

Note: Expected results would be, the user note from the Source Record will be present in the Target Record.
