Scenario

The customer would like to know how to link a custom transaction field to a custom Fixed Asset Management field.

Solution

1.Navigate toCustomization>List, Records, & Fields>Transaction Line Fields>Newto create the Custom Field(s) and apply it to the Transaction(s) (i.e Bill and Journal).

- Label (Name i.ePhysical Location)

• Type: List/Record
• List/Record: State
• Store Value: T

> Applies to:

• Purchase Item = T
• Journal = T
• Select all lines on the Custom Transactions

- ClickSave

- ClickApply to Forms(Select all the transaction forms this field would appear)

- Repeat the steps above and create another one for theZip

Important:Take note of theID(i.e custcol3)*Legend1

2.Navigate toCustomization>List, Records, & Fields>Record Types>FAM Asset Proposaltocreate Record Type on FAM Asset Proposal and FAM Asset

-New Field (Populate the ff:)

• Label
• ID
• Type: List/Record
• List/Record: State
• Store Value: T

- ClickSave

3. Navigate toCustomization>List, Records, & Fields>Record Types>FAM Asset

-New Field (Populate the ff:)

• Label
• ID
• Type: List/Record
• List/Record: State
• Store Value: T

4.Navigate toFixed Assets>Setup>Transaction Field Map>New Transaction Field Maptocreate the mapping
