Scenario
Some users might want to manually migrate the non-primary site settings to the Primary website.
Solution
- Verify which Web Site is the Primary by navigating to Commerce > Websites > Website List
- Take a note under the Primary column (option will ONLY appear in a multi-site account)
- Transfer all Web Site customization to Primary Site
- Navigate to Commerce > Websites > Website List and Edit the site you would like to keep (take note of all the customization).
- Navigate back and edit the Primary site and change it accordingly. i.e. under the Appearance sub-tab assign the correct Web Site Theme, under the Shopping sub-tab Transfer Terms and Conditions HTML:
- Change Tabs to primary Web Site by navigating to Commerce > Site Builder > Tabs and open each Tab from the site you would like to keep and assign them to the primary Web Site
- Change Categories to primary Web Site by navigating to Commerce > Content Management > Commerce Categories and assigned correct Categories to the primary Web Site
- Transfer Setup Web Site customization to Primary Site
Note:
- Before making any changes it's recommended that screenshots be taken of each section so if needed they can be referenced.
- Assigning a tab to a different web store, removes the preferred category of the item. Default tabs Home Page/Welcome, Checkout, Shopping Cart, and Customer Center/My Account can not be re-assigned. Users would need to transfer customization manually, for example: edit the Home Page of website2.com and copy information from Greeting, Message, Page Title, etc and paste it in the Home Page of "website1.com" where website1 is the Primary site.
