Scenario

User wants to partially Dispose an Asset by an exact amount to the nearest centavo. For example, the amount to dispose is 1,500.55..

Solution

To dispose an asset partially, the Asset should have 2 or more quantities and the quantity should be a whole number.

1. Edit Fixed Asset record
2. Under Maintenance tab, enter Quantity equal to the Asset Current Cost plus two digits. For example, if the Asset Current Cost is 10,000.00, the quantity should be 1,000,000
3. Click Save

We can now proceed with the Partial Asset Disposal

1. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Transactions > Asset Disposal
2. Enter the Following Fields:

Disposal Type
Disposal Date
Asset ID/Name
Quantity to Dispose - Quantity to Dispose must equal to the exact amount plus two digits .For example, if the Asset Cost to dispose is 1,500.55, the Quantity to Dispose should be 150,055

3. Click Add
4. Click Dispose
