Read Receipt Email Notification Timezone

Scenario

Neither user nor company timezone preference is followed for Date Sent on Read Receipt on messages.

Solution

  1. Log in to your NetSuite account using an Administrator role.

  2. Navigate toTransactions>Sales>Enter Sales Orders>List

    Note:This behavior applies to any record, e.g. Transaction, Customer, Case, Employee.

  3. Sales Order:ClickView

  4. ClickCommunication

  5. ClickMessages

  6. ClickEmail

  7. ClickRecipients

    1. Email Address:EnterEmail Address

    2. ClickMessage

    3. Subject:EnterSubject

    4. Message:EnterMessage

    5. Request Read Receipt:EnterCheckmark

    6. ClickMerge & Send

  8. The recipient clicks on Read Receipt pop-up window in their email client to acknowledge the received email

    Example:Read Receipt is acknowledged by the recipient and logged in NetSuite at 9:38 AM GMT.

  9. Navigate toTransactions>Sales>Enter Sales Orders>List

  10. Sales Order:ClickView

  11. ClickCommunication

  12. ClickMessages

  13. Relevant Email:ClickView

  14. Email Message pop-up window:

    1. ClickRead Receipt

    2. Date Sent:1:38 AM PST

Note:The date and time shown in theDate Sentcolumn inRead Receiptis always set to Pacific Time (PST/PDT) timezone regardless of your preference.

Check Company Time Zone Preference

  1. Log in to NetSuite using an Administrator role
  2. Navigate toSetup>Company>Company Information
  3. Time Zone:CheckTime Zone

Check User Time Zone Preference

  1. Log in to NetSuite using anyRole
  2. Navigate toHome>Set Preferences
