Scenario:

Custom fields that has values Set by aSummary Saved Searchare not stored in the database. This is because theStore Valueoption of the custom field is set to uncheck to allow the field to update its displayed value based on a Saved Search dynamically.

Solution:

Saving the values from a Summary Saved Searchrequires extensive customization

Here are the things to consider:

  • Create theSaved Search
    • create yourSaved Searchhaving a summary onResults. (e.g Count, Maximum)
  • Create 2Custom Fields
    • Create a field(1) that hasStore Value= F and sources the value from the Saved search
    • Create a field(2) that hasStore Value= T,Display= Hidden
  • CreateWorkflow
    • CreateActionthat willSet Valueof field(2) from value of field(1) onAfter Record Submiton aCreate Event
    • CreateActionto set display type:
      • Action(1) Hide Field(1) onView ModeorEvent
      • Action(2) Display Normal Field(2) onView ModeorEvent

You may add moreActions,Workflowand orScripts. Please note that the Support Team can only advise on possible solutions, or finding an error in existing customization. We cannot help in implementing custom solutions and process from scratch.
