Unable to Initiate Upgrade to the Latest Version of Fixed Assets Management Because Asset Depreciation or Background Tasks Are in Progress or in Pending Status

Scenario

Fixed Assets Management bundle update fails and user receives an email with the following data:

Account: xxx

Bundle Name: Fixed Assets Management

Script: FAM Bundle Installation Scripts

Type: Bundle Installation

Function: ncFAR_BeforeBundleUpdate

Error: INSTALLATION_ERROR

Unable to initiate upgrade to the latest version of Fixed Assets Management because Asset Depreciation or background tasks are in progress or in Pending status. To view the status of all processes, go to Fixed Assets > Fixed Assets Background Processing > Process Instance List.

When all tasks are marked Completed, contact Support to have your Fixed Assets Management SuiteApp upgraded to the latest version.

Solution

  1. NavigatetoFixed Assets>Background Processing>FAM Process List
  2. Show Inactives:EnterCheckmark
  3. In Progress or Queued Processes:EnterInactiveCheckmarkfor all
  4. ClickSubmit
  5. Navigate toFixed Assets > Background Processing > Status
  6. In Progress or Queued Status:ClickInternal IDfor all
  7. ClickEdit
  8. Inactive:EnterCheckmark
  9. ClickSave
    Note:Email NetSuite Customer Support as soon as the above steps are done so that support can re-launch the upgrade in the account
